The name, Yakira Bella, which means precious and beautiful, was inspired by Gerszberg's stepdaughter and reflects the precious and beautiful pieces in the collection. The brand began selling online in May 2019, and the response was overwhelming, leading them to open a brick-and-mortar store in Cedarhurst, followed by a second location in Teaneck.
